Buffer I O Error Fedora
All rights reserved. Same problem with Fedora 7. If a cd is in the drive during boot, this error occurs once the "Uniform cd-rom driver Revision: 3.20" is loaded and then it has to timeout to go further. As a control, I tried a second disk. Yesterday I installed 8.10 server from a burnt mini iso, and although I had to wait with patience to wait for a timeout everytime the drive was accessed, the install completed. No more error messages ! How did you remove the Raid-SWAP.

It will either prove it is the CD or some other problem with the computer itself. Actually, that's not a big problem, because my computer can easily read it (karmic). Seems to point at a kernel bug.
